Legal technology · Colombia & Latin America

Legal intelligence that brings justice closer to people.

We believe understanding the law should not be a privilege. TuAbogado.co is developing evidence-grounded AI tools to make reliable legal information easier to understand and use, starting with Colombian jurisprudence.

Our mission

Technology in service of people and access to justice.

Behind every legal document there can be a person seeking clarity, protection or a fair opportunity to be heard. Our purpose is to reduce barriers to understanding legal information while supporting the professionals who help people navigate it. We are developing tools built on verifiable sources, human oversight and responsible AI, beginning in Colombia with a longer-term vision for Latin America.

Our long-term vision

A continent-wide community of legal knowledge, centered on citizens.

Our ambition is to build the largest legal collaboration network in Latin America: a space that can bring together judges and magistrates, practicing lawyers, legal researchers and law students to share reliable legal knowledge and improve access to justice. Citizens are the reason for this vision. We are still at the development stage; the network is a goal we are working toward, not an existing institutional affiliation.

For people

A future where legal information is easier to understand, better grounded in evidence and closer to those who need it.

For the legal community

An inclusive professional and academic ecosystem that connects experience, new talent, responsible AI and shared legal knowledge.

In development

Real technical work. Clear development stages.

These are active development workstreams, not claims of a finished commercial platform.

LLM + LAYA

Research into structured legal decision extraction, classification and evidence-based quality controls for large legal document collections.

Legal corpus

Document collection, integrity checking and preparation of Colombian high-court materials for downstream processing and legal AI evaluation.

Radar Procesal

Development of structured procedural monitoring and traceable workflow controls aimed at improving clarity, visibility and reliable information flows for judges, lawyers, institutions and citizens.

Infrastructure strategy

Cost-aware AI: local GPUs plus selective expert APIs.

Current development

Current development combines a Windows workstation with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, founder-led legal expertise, and AI-assisted design and auditing with tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. The goal is not only raw computing power, but a practical architecture capable of processing legal documents in an ordered, auditable and cost-aware way.

Human + legal + technical orchestration

Next validation goals

Reliable overnight orchestration, auditable legal outputs, measured throughput per dollar, and evaluation of larger-memory NVIDIA hardware only when justified by results.

Founder and origin

A long-standing legal-tech vision, now becoming feasible.

Jesús Rodríguez Fernández

Colombian lawyer with nearly 20 years of professional experience in litigation and legal advisory work, especially in administrative, labor, medical-liability, constitutional and family matters. Alongside his legal career, he has built software and workflow tools for years, combining legal reasoning with practical technology integration.

Founder-led legal and technical direction

Why now

The legal-technology work that eventually inspired TuAbogado.co began in 2011, with judicial workflow and information-management initiatives at the Tribunal Administrativo de Santander. At the time, the technological conditions were not yet mature enough to build the kind of scalable legal-assistance system envisioned. Advances in AI, local computing and workflow automation now make that vision much more realistic.

From early legal workflow ideas to AI-enabled execution

Innovation record

During his time working around the Tribunal Administrativo de Santander, Jesús produced analytical work on judicial congestion and developed workflow and information-management proposals, including a small internal platform concept for relatoría and case handling in 2011. That experience helped shape a practical, systems-oriented view of legal innovation.

Law + process design + software thinking

Social purpose

The long-term aim is to help more people understand and access legal information in a trustworthy way, while also supporting the professionals and institutions that work with that information every day.
